Community Engagement with NAMI

October 22, 2019 Uncategorized

A dedicated and enthusiastic group of New Hope staff participated in the annual National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk on October 19th at Cherry Park in Rock Hill. The weather was ideal, the donuts were fresh, the crowd was buzzing, the walk was invigorating and for a worthy cause. The New Hope Team was organized and lead by Director of Recreation Therapy Dolly Williams and we had strong representation of staff from various departments.

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI educates, advocates, listens and leads in various areas of Mental Illness. New Hope is proud to be a supporter of NAMI and we look forward to many more Walks to further the cause.
