Experiential Approach to Education at New Hope

Recently our students and teachers put on a phenomenal wax museum! Students dressed the part of historical figures and presented a brief biography of each famous person, outlining their contributions to science, politics, industry and entertainment. It was clear all the students studied their subjects and knew the material, and the costumes were fantastic! I truly enjoyed learning some interesting facts about these famous historical figures, and enjoyed querying the students – asking more details about the person they chose to represent  -and was pleased that everyone answered with additional knowledge, indicating an in-depth understanding of the life and history of the person portrayed.
