Phases of Treatment

Orientation Phase

In the Orientation Phase, the new resident orients himself by learning and following the New Hope rules and procedures and by learning the names of peers and staff members. Peers and the Treatment Team actively assist the new adolescent in his efforts. When he has achieved these tasks, he moves to the Initial Phase. The new resident is expected to move to the Initial Phase within two to three weeks of admission.
