Here is what is happening at New Hope…

Happy New Year!!!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday. If you’re a parent reading this, we recognize how difficult the holidays can be. We hope you were able to find moments of joy and hope and connection. For our youth who were at the facility during the holiday, our team worked tirelessly to try to make it one where they felt loved and felt special. Each resident at New Hope received several gifts and spent the Holiday weekends engaged in activities, games, watching Holiday movies, drinking hot chocolate and just having fun. Nothing can replace being with your family for Christmas, but our staff did everything they could to make it a special day for every single youth in our care.

As we look back on 2022, we are filled with gratitude for all of our partners, supporters and our team. From our local police and fire departments, to the local chapter of NAMI, our insurance payors who stepped up in big ways – New Hope was blessed in 2022.

And as we look ahead to 2023, we are filled with excitement! 2023 will be a historic year for New Hope as we make plans for growth and transformation. New Hope is actively seeking ways to expand our service delivery to include lower levels of care beyond our residential programs. We recognize that many of the communities we serve have serious problems with lack of access to high quality mental healthcare. We have a broken system in many of the states that we serve and we see that brokenness is so many of the stories of the kids we serve. Kids who fall through the cracks. Who didn’t get help early enough. Who didn’t get wrapped up in services during their time of crisis/need. We see these problems all the time, but we are done just talking about the problems – in 2023 we are going to be a part of solving them. Stay tuned for more information as things materialize.  

We also have big plans for our PRTF services in Rock Hill. As we continue to come fully out of the pandemic, we are going to keep reinvesting in our services, our staff and most importantly our kids. We truly believe the best is yet to come at New Hope!
