Giving back, volunteering and connecting to others…

Recently, the Recreational Therapy Department at New Hope Carolinas spent their time off working with a local charitable organization called Love & Cherish Family Center.  Love & Cherish assists families dealing with economic hardships with childcare needs, using the philosophy of  providing a “hand-up and not a hand-out”.   The volunteer event was a large yard sale with all proceeds going to support the mission of Love N Cherish.   The New Hope team not only donated time, but also donated some of their gently used household items to the sale.  New friends were made and families were helped.

The opportunity for our staff to help other child and family serving organizations is a rewarding one and our team was honored to contribute.  The connections made and the networking that occurred can only mean that more families in need are reached.
