Lots of Hope, Lots of Heart and Don’t Give Up

In March, we had a really bad night at New Hope Treatment Centers Inc. The kind of bad night when the new Executive Director goes to the facility at 1am in his pajamas. (The kind of night anyone who has done residential services for any length of time has no doubt experienced).

Yesterday, the young man who was the main “leader” of that rough night graduated successfully from our program.

He’s on his way to Disney World with his family today.

As this young man graduated, multiple New Hope team members who weren’t scheduled to work showed up to celebrate him and wish him well. Youth poured out of their rooms to give him high fives and the program erupted in applause as he walked out to greet his parent. He was beaming.

This is what it looks like for a young person to have #newhope! This is why we don’t give up on kids.
