New Hope Happenings

October 5, 2022 New Hope Happenings

Here is what is happening at New Hope!

Fall is here and we are in full swing at New Hope impacting young peoples’ lives!

We just wrapped up our first Parent Support group which is facilitated by NAMI and the parents who participated reported that it was a fantastic experience. These groups will be ongoing with the next one opening up in just a few weeks. If you are interested in learning more about this free resource, please reach out to our Director of Therapy Services Rebecca Spanberg at [email protected]. Change in NOT an individual thing, it’s a family thing. We encourage all parents to actively engage in your youth’s treatment and in your own self-care. This could be a great way to do that.

This month, New Hope went through our triannual Joint Commission Survey. New Hope has been accredited through the Joint Commission (the “Gold Standard” in healthcare) since 1998. We are proud to say that we scored a compliance rating of 98%. The surveyor was deeply impressed with the commitment and passion of our staff, especially through these last few years of COVID. He was able to provide some fantastic feedback for areas where we will be able to grow as well. New Hope will always be looking for ways to improve the care we provide our youth and families.

New Hope also was excited to give back to the community this month with our time and talent and help paint a local home in Rock Hill, SC. New Hope has been a staple of our community for decades and plans to for decades to come. We have over 50 staff who will be participating in the annual NAMI walk on October 8th which will raise money and awareness around issues of mental health.

Another big milestone in September was the launching of our Electronic Health Record. This step forward in technology will eventually lead to more administrative efficiencies which will lead to increased time and energy invested back into the treatment we provide our youth. And finally, we want to encourage you all to check out some additions to our website which include videos that tell the New Hope story and additional information about New Hope’s leadership team. More evolutions to our website are forthcoming. Go to www.newhopetreatment.com to check those out!

Thank you for leaning into the mission of New Hope!

Sincerely,

Matt Simon, LMFT
