2024 Year In Review

December 31, 2024 New Hope Happenings

Unlike what will be taking place at midnight tonight, dropping the ball is never an option in our space. We look back at an incredible 2024 which saw us improve our facility in Rock Hill with massive renovations to our brand-new LEAP (Learning Enriched Autism Program) space, new rec rooms, new signage, new floors, new lights, new bathrooms, countless upgrades and facelifts with more to come in 2025.

We continued to revamp and emphasize our company culture with frequent food trucks, breakfast for our overnight shift, several staff outings such as Family Fun Day, our Grill & Chill and of course the End of Year event. We made sure to support and show love to our community, once again being the presenting sponsor at the 2024 NAMIWalks. We attended several conferences and presented at this year’s i2i Winter Conference in Winston-Salem. That would not have been possible if not for the partnership we forged with Beekeeper, as we launched our first employee app, known as The HUB, a one-stop shop for news, updates, communication, and inclusiveness from leadership to our direct care staff. It truly provides a voice for all our employees now spanning across three states.

We expanded our reach, acquiring two homes in the state of West Virginia with the goal of having 24 beds and four new locations in the state ready to serve youth in 2025. We officially started offering our MST services in York County, SC, a game-changer and first for New Hope. We continued to add exceptionally talented professionals to help support the New Hope mission, even adding new roles like our first-ever Mental Health Ambassador, which was filled by one of our success stories who is now giving back in ways that we didn’t think were possible a few years ago. We maintained relationships with local media, sharing our story and serving as a resource. We amplified more voices with our podcast, Stuff that Matters, and launched a new series highlighting more alumni and success stories.

All of this was done with the same goal in mind. That goal is to better serve kids and families and ensure that New Hope is the last residential treatment that they’ll need. From the daily activities and forms of therapy, our education department, the guest speakers we’ve welcomed. Everyone that stepped foot in our PRTF has played a role in changing lives. With everyone’s hard work and dedication, we were able to serve nearly 400 youth in 2024 and see the number of our discharges almost double from 2023.

Like every holiday, we’ll have many staff at the facility this evening and tomorrow, because the work never stops. The same goes for New Hope as an organization. Just like our slogan indicates, our promise is that we’ll be growing, expanding, learning, achieving and most of all serving even more in 2025. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.
