New Hope Celebrates Black History Month

February 6, 2025 New Hope Happenings

Rock Hill, S.C., February 6, 2025 – Since 1970, February is a month where our nation pauses to celebrate Black History Month and as a company, we wanted to do the same.

This time provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the immense achievements and resilience of the African American community that have shaped our society in so many meaningful ways and have shaped this organization.

New Hope is incredibly proud to have a diverse workforce of talented, driven, and inspiring individuals who show up every day to impact the lives of our kids and families. From front line staff to program directors to psychiatrists, New Hope firmly believes that our diversity is our strength.

We also recognize that a large majority of the youth and families we serve are African American. And in many cases, some of the traumas our youth have experienced are a direct result of the ongoing disparities of opportunity and resources in their communities. We believe that the work you are doing every day at New Hope is not just making an impact on individual kids but has the power to ripple out to entire communities and cities and beyond. By helping restore hope to these young people, you are building a future where equality is not just an ideal, but a reality.

And today, and every day, we thank you for your dedication and commitment to those youth and to the New Hope mission.

About New Hope

Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. Our programs have played a role in countless success stories, thanks to our relational approach to behavioral care. We get to know our kids on an individual level, and work with them and their families toward a brighter next chapter. We believe that positive, empowering, and healthy relationships are the key to changing young lives that have been impacted by childhood trauma. At New Hope, the drive is simple: change the world, one kid at a time, through the healing power of relationships. Our people show up every day, passionate about changing young people’s lives. It’s our name and our promise: new hope for every kid who comes through our doors.
