New Hope Hero – Amanda Benton

June 14, 2024 New Hope Happenings

Rock Hill, S.C., June 14, 2024 – Amanda Benton is a New Hope hero as evidenced by her fearless approach to learning and her resilience to conquer any challenges she faces.

Benton joined New Hope a little more than a year ago as a Transition Specialist. Over that time, Amanda has worked with the Bridge Program while pursuing higher education, including interning with the clinical department at New Hope. Amanda’s work ethic and enthusiastic attitude continues to leave a lasting impression on both her New Hope team and in the homes/communities of the New Hope families.

Her superpower as an employee is her altruism. Amanda is truly an altruistic warrior when it comes to the residents, her Bridge Program families, and her New Hope team.

When asked what makes her so special, here’s what Krystal Long, Bridge Program Supervisor, had to say. “Recently, Amanda went above and beyond to assist a resident and their mother to get psychological testing. Not only was the mother grateful for having support from Amanda by being present, but she was also able reduce her anxiety. Amanda was able to help further by explaining testing processes, terminology, and recommendations for next steps.”

It’s that diverse skillset, altruism and presence of mind that makes Amanda Benton our latest New Hope Hero.

About New Hope

Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. Our programs have played a role in countless success stories, thanks to our relational approach to behavioral care. We get to know our kids on an individual level, and work with them and their families toward a brighter next chapter. We believe that positive, empowering, and healthy relationships are the key to changing young lives that have been impacted by childhood trauma. At New Hope, the drive is simple: change the world, one kid at a time, through the healing power of relationships. Our people show up every day, passionate about changing young people’s lives. It’s our name and our promise: new hope for every kid who comes through our doors.
