New Hope Welcomes New Executive Director
Rock Hill, S.C., April 16, 2025 – New Hope Treatment Center’s is ecstatic to announce the hiring of the Executive Director of its PRTF in Rock Hill, SC.
After nearly six months of recruiting, vetting and interviewing dozens of highly qualified candidates, Nathan Hynek was appointed to the new role to oversee department leaders at the facility.
Nathan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Valparaiso University in 2015. He earned his first master’s in forensic psychology from Arizona State University in 2020 and is currently working towards an additional master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
“When life is hard, and even when it is easy, a phrase that I have carried with me from a drill instructor at the police academy is to ‘Lean into it’”, said Nathan. “It can apply to nearly any of life’s challenges or adventures and I am beyond excited to join the New Hope team.”
Nathan brings a diverse array of experiences to New Hope ranging from education to law enforcement and behavioral healthcare. He spent roughly eight years in Law Enforcement, serving in the Michigan City Police Department, Westville Police Department and Northern Indiana Commuter Train District.
Hynek’s transition from law enforcement landed him in the role of Violence Intervention Coordinator with Novant Health in Charlotte from November 2023 – July 2024. He was most recently the Program Manager for Outpatient Services at Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital in Lancaster, SC before joining the NHC PRTF family.
“We truly went through an exhaustive, nation-wide search for this position since October of 2024,” said COO Matt Simon, MA, LMFT. “It was key we got this right. This is not an easy job and requires someone with incredible mental dexterity, grit, passion, organization, a good communicator, high level leadership skills and vision. We needed someone who could zoom in and zoom out on issues, trends, connect with and build the culture, and develop our leaders at NHC and we believe Nathan embodies all of this. As we grow as an organization, we never want to sacrifice quality. We expect to see increases in quality across the board. Hiring this position reflects our commitment to that.”
