Teacher Appreciation Week

May 8, 2025 New Hope Happenings

Rock Hill, S.C., May 8, 2025 – Some of our leadership members provided their expertise for mental health awareness month. With it being teachers appreciation week, our Education department is critical for the success and future of the kids we serve.

This week – and every week – we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our teachers for the incredible work to support our kids. The dedication, talent and heart make all the difference in shaping a nurturing environment where students can grow both personally and academically.

“You are the reason our classrooms and school are more than just learning spaces; they are safe places where our kids feel encouraged, supported and inspired to take risks in order to reach their full potential,” said Education Coordinator, Jessica Norwood. “The time and care you put into your work each and every day does not go unnoticed. Your impact goes far beyond our classroom walls to change the lives of kids and families. Thank you for your commitment. What you do truly matters, and we are so grateful to have each of you on our team.”

“When I joined New Hope three years ago, one of the first things that leapt out at me was the strength of our Education Team,” said COO, Matt Simon, MA, LMFT. “It was one of the best I’d ever seen in my career. I think you have to be a special person to be a teacher and you have to be an EXTRA special person to teach in our setting, with our kids. Our teachers have such a strong sense of their WHY and their purpose. Most of my favorite posts on the Hub come from our education department because they are always doing something creative and engaging and inspiring for our young people. Thank you, New Hope teachers!”

About New Hope

Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. Our programs have played a role in countless success stories, thanks to our relational approach to behavioral care. We get to know our kids on an individual level, and work with them and their families toward a brighter next chapter. We believe that positive, empowering, and healthy relationships are the key to changing young lives that have been impacted by childhood trauma. At New Hope, the drive is simple: change the world, one kid at a time, through the healing power of relationships. Our people show up every day, passionate about changing young people’s lives. It’s our name and our promise: new hope for every kid who comes through our doors.
