Traditional residential programs that focus only on the youth are missing a huge piece of the puzzle. At New Hope, we’re determined to do things differently, viewing residential treatment as a journey the entire family takes together.
In the Bridge Program, we employ full-time Transition Specialists who work directly with parents during their kids’ time with us. This way, as the youth are making progress towards a brighter future, their parents are doing the same.
More than anyone, we understand that the best way to support young people is through early intervention, prevention, and family services at the first sign of trouble—and that residential programs are often a last resort. That’s why we’re pushing our care systems to expand these community-based services, and plan to offer extended options in the near future.
