Fall Party At New Hope

November 11, 2021 Events

Sometimes holidays are difficult.  As adults understand the stress that comes with the Holiday Season.  Imagine that you’re living away from home, working on yourself and past complex issues that aren’t easy to face…not easy for sure.

As we shift into the next couple months, we are very aware that the youth we work with will experience additional stress and challenges during this time of year. Therefore, we try hard to make holidays as fun as possible for our kids.  Recently we celebrated with our Fall Party.  Kids played Halloween bingo and got popit/stress toys.  We also played the game “guess how many” and the kid who guessed the correct number of candy in a bowl got to keep the whole bowl!  We’ll be calling the mobile dental agency Monday for that youth.  ?

Everyone enjoyed wings and tater tots from our local Wing Bonz!  Kids also enjoyed Halloween theme cupcakes, hot chips, Halloween cake balls and spooky green punch with Sprite.  And everyone got a treat bag filled with goodies to take back to their unit for later.

Our Recreation Therapy Department staff dressed up costumes, and other fun-loving staff joined in on the festivities and came as their favorite characters also!

Thanks to everyone who was part of making this holiday a fun filled day for our residents!
