New Hope Hero – Ms. Mona Letigo

November 4, 2022 New Hope Heroes

“Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” John C. Maxwell

This quote is the perfect introduction to our latest New Hope Hero, Ms. Mona Letigo.  Mona is a teacher on our older female unit and her students can attest to her level of caring she has for all the kids she works with.  Mona consistently goes above and beyond to ensure she is giving each and every child the opportunity to grow.  Mona has lead several initiatives for residents including a Suicide Prevention Poster Contest in partnership with NAMI, a Literacy promotion event, and a mental health outreach program with local schools.  Amazing!  Mona has been positively impacting youth at New Hope for 8 years is incredibly dedicated to our mission and takes the time to build relationships with both residents and co-workers to create a therapeutic team atmosphere.

Thank you Mona for all you do for the kids and staff!  We are all better for having you in our New Hope world.
