Second Annual Grill & Chill Scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd
Rock Hill, S.C., July 27, 2023 – New Hope Treatment Centers will be hosting its second Grill & Chill at its Rock Hill facility, scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd.
Parking for community members will be along Sedgewood Drive. The event will be held from 11:30am – 3:00pm. It will be an afternoon full of fun, laughter, food and community engagement. Games will include a dunking booth and cornhole.
There will be plenty of prizes and New Hope swag raffled off every hour with drawings at 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 2:00pm. There will be an interactive seminar of a new version of hopscotch and the opportunity to learn a line dance.
The cookout inspired food will be catered by the Coffee People, LLC and music will be playing throughout the day. The event will be laid-back with staff and community members with the overall purpose to cultivate relationships and partnerships. Centered around fun, the main objective is to increase awareness, tolerance, understanding and improve the ability to work more effectively as one.
Last year’s inaugural Grill & Chill welcomed members of the local first responder teams, mental health leaders and town administrators. It was great seeing New Hope residents interact with professionals in a positive context. It was a nice way to say thank you to the community’s local first responders and built healthier frames of reference for our youth around law enforcement. This year aims to offer the same opportunities for our residents, staff and community contingent.
